THE iNSIDERS NETWORK sponsors Seth Glier's GreenTour
Saugerties, NY - THE iNSIDERS NETWORK congratulates client
and DIY poster boy Seth Glier on the rerelease/label debut of The
Trouble with People, out November 3, 2009 (MPress Records).
iNSIDERS cofounder Kate
Bradley: "Seth's
a pretty amazing guy, easily the hardest working man in show
business. So when he called to explain his Green tour idea for
the rerelease of Trouble, we thought, why not call it Offsetting
the Trouble. Direct. Like Seth."
Seth's Offsetting the Trouble Tour centers around the idea of
cutting back, of offsetting impact. From using all-organic materials
in tour merchandise to promoting fan carpools to purchasing energy
credits from TerraPass, the whole idea has been to raise awareness
and take action.
"Mother nature couldn't ask for better person on her team...
Seth can literally make rain when he wants to," says Bradley. "That's
the kind of passion he wields."
The Offsetting the Trouble tour has Seth zipping from show to
show, hybrid-style (getting an average of 54 mpg) with stops at
farmer's markets in each city, as well as scheduling local tree-planting
events before each show.
"We're really proud to be sponsoring this tour; obviously,
Green is good," continues Bradley. "But we also hope
that other artists will be inspired by Seth's ridiculously contagious
entrepreneurship... he organized this whole thing himself. From
CLIF BAR to Terra Pass. He made those calls. The guy is friggin'
golden. Golden-green."

THE iNSIDERS NETWORK Launches at www.musicinsidersnetwork.com
Saugerties, NY - Outlandos Music CEO and former XM Satellite
Radio/The Loft Music Director Kate Bradley, in conjunction with
songwriter, recording artist and licensed mental health therapist
Robert E. Deeble, LMHC and the entertainment legal team of Falkin
+ Sachse (published and awarded writer and former Slackhammer vocalist
Mark Falkin and Mission to the Sea singer-songwriter Decker Sachse)
today announced the launch of THE iNSIDERS NETWORK, a consortium
of music industry insiders specializing in independent artist consultation,
entrepreneurship, and well-being. Joined by September Gurl publicist
Patrice Fehlen, Notorious Radio Promotion and Punk Nutrition founder
Liz Cousins, GRAMMY-winning composer Danny Weinkauf (They Might
Be Giants), certified Kripalu yoga instructor and Ellery singer-songwriter
Tasha Golden, and Yep Roc Records Online Marketing and Promotion
Director (former Tour Promotion and Management Director) Hank Stockard,
THE iNSIDERS NETWORK uses a unique whole-artist approach to combine
practical advice with artistic nurture for the independent artist.
"Last October I did a little experiment
with CDBaby cofounder Derek Sivers," explains
Bradley. "The goal was to evolve the artist consulting I'd
been doing into more of a coaching service and then offer it free
for 8 sessions to a client of my choosing from a list Derek solicited.
There were 500 artists of all skill
levels to wade through and the common denominators I noticed among all of
them (including some who had pretty great record deals and licensing
agreements) was a general need for emotional support, advice on
the inside scoop of the music industry, creative marketing strategies,
and basic business skills tools and tips, all at some kind of affordable
price."
Singer-songwriter Seth Glier: "Within 2 months of working
with [Kate, during the Derek Severs experiment], I had a great
manager (Ralph Jaccodine) who works with Ellis Paul, Antje Duvekot,
and Martin Sexton. I am now in negotiations with MPress Records
and should be signing with them in about a week or so. Most importantly,
Kate was the sole person responsible for guiding me on my Fan Funded
Tour Support Campaign. I raised over $3,000 from fans through my
website to support me on a 45 date tour throughout the country.
This Fan Funding effort then caught the attention of the Boston
Globe, who wrote an article on it."
"With Seth's success, I started thinking
about how we could help other artists in this way, to somehow expand
upon it," says Bradley. "That's
when Robert, Decker and I started brainstorming. What if a group
of industry insiders like us, got together --- all with very specific,
valuable inside skills and experience, many of whom are musicians
themselves, to provide a safe haven, a trusted resource? And what
if we threw in a holistic element, to really address this issue
of the whole artist? And made it cheap to boot?"
"Because let's face it, being a musician can be kind of, well... hard.
Hard on the body, hard on the emotions, sometimes even hard on
the brain, and certainly hard on the wallet. By uniting united to offer our services
as a group --- a network similar to an HMO --- THE iNSIDERS NETWORK can therefore
offer truly affordable consultations. Plus, by pooling our resources,
we can also offer special membership rates, giving deep discounts across the
network while simultaneously helping the journey of the independent musician
to be, well... less hard."
By signing up for any of THE iNSIDERS NETWORK's monthly memberships,
artists enjoy discounts which apply to any/all consultants within
the network and to every single session scheduled/executed within
the membership timeframe. The longer the membership, the greater
the discount.
"After all, so many of us are musicians
ourselves," Bradley continues. "We know from
getting jerked around. So that's how we came up with our ALL-iN
membership option. Easy on the wallet and right up-front; artists know how
much and what
for. We call it open resource. No hidden fees.
No bullshit."
Hence, THE iNSIDERS NETWORK go-to resource
is designed to assist artists in creating and executing marketing
and fundraising campaigns, surviving mental ups and downs and reducing
stress, promoting your brand and getting your name out there, licensing
your music and composing for placement, touring smarter, from house
concerts to international bookings, protecting your legal rights
as any business would, fueling your creativity with a healthy,
informed diet, and thriving both physically and mentally via customize
yoga.
